Healthcare is usually slow and boring. We believe in its potential to be exciting and entertaining. But changing the healthcare experience is hard – and we’re gonna need all the help we can get…!

About Eucalyptus

Eucalyptus (or 'Euc' for short) is an Australian founded digital healthcare company that is on a mission to solve the world’s biggest healthcare challenges - think fertility, and behavioural change around chronic conditions such as weight loss, diabetes, and mental health.

Founded in Australia in 2019, we have now helped over 500K patients globally by combining technology, design and operational excellence to help patients access the best clinical support when they need it - wherever they are.

Our 4 brands (Juniper, Pilot, Kin & Software) focus heavily on personalising the experience for different demographics and are powered by a growing team across 5 countries (Australia, UK, Germany, Japan, and the Philippines).

We’ve raised over AUD$150M in funding from Aussie and Silicon Valley investors who were early backers of Uber, Canva and AirBnb. With plans to launch into several more markets, offline channels, and tackle new conditions.

We’re looking to continue building our team of executional weapons who are passionate about healthcare, aren’t afraid to work hard, and invest in others through direct and honest feedback. This approach enables us to make the most impactful changes to improve the health of millions of patients globally.

About the role (What you’ll be doing)

  • Find the root cause of problems, prioritise them, and drive initiatives across multiple work-streams including: medical operations, medical support, health coaching, and risk.

  • Develop and scale our clinical offering, prescribing protocols, and team to ensure we have the infrastructure in place to service more patients, launch new digital clinics, and treat more complex conditions.

  • Lead the development of our safety and clinical governance systems to ensure that we continue to provide high quality, safe healthcare to our patients as we grow quickly.

  • Continually assess performance & drive initiatives within our Prescriber consultation funnel to move key metrics such as conversion & approval rates

  • Leverage insights in our data to drive better outcomes for patients & maintain high clinical standards, whilst simultaneously focusing on efficiency & cost improvements

  • Finally, you'll work with the broader team to define the strategy for our Med Ops function and clinical services across the UK (and beyond). You'll think through questions like - Can our current clinician operating model scale to 10x volume? How can we use data to empower clinicians to provide a better consultation experience? What tools can we provide clinicians to allow them to complete more complex consultations, without sacrificing quality and safety?

This role includes a healthy mix of fire fighting and long-term problem solving in a lightning-fast-paced environment, and is perfect for a generalist problem solver with a clinical background and a keen eye for detail.

About you (Who you are)

  • Patient obsessed: You understand and empathise with our diverse patient base; you work with clinicians to drive alignment and ultimately get better outcomes for patients

  • A skilled problem solver: Robust analytical capabilities & attention to detail, with the ability to synthesise findings, draw out insights and execute on recommendations.

  • Manage many things at once: Strong ability to prioritise, take initiative to manage a project end to end and communicate what’s important to key stakeholders.

  • Executional powerhouse: Strategy is simple, achieving it through flawless execution is what’s hard. Maintaining momentum will require good judgment and acting quickly within a fast-paced environment.

  • Team player: We’re still a small team and there will be blurred lines between roles. We will all need to pitch in to get the job done. This includes being ready to help others, motivating the team and prioritising what will move the needle, regardless of task or team.

  • Strong generalist toolkit: Exceptional written, presentation, and verbal communications skills that can be applied across organisational levels, countries and cultures. Comfortable with numbers and synthesising data into clear insights and opportunities.

7+ years of experience with exposure to both clinical & commercial settings. You are a medical graduate or have experience in a clinical/healthcare setting AND have been in a commercial role in consulting, technology, venture capital and/or a start-up.
