Healthcare is usually slow and boring. We believe in its potential to be exciting and entertaining. But changing the healthcare experience is hard – and we’re gonna need all the help we can get…!

About Eucalyptus

Eucalyptus (or 'Euc' for short) is an Australian founded digital healthcare company that is on a mission to solve the world’s biggest healthcare challenges - think fertility, and behavioural change around chronic conditions such as weight loss, diabetes, and mental health.

Founded in Australia in 2019, we have now helped over 500K patients globally by combining technology, design and operational excellence to help patients access the best clinical support when they need it - wherever they are.

Our 4 brands (Juniper, Pilot, Kin & Software) focus heavily on personalising the experience for different demographics and are powered by a growing team across 5 countries (Australia, UK, Germany, Japan, and the Philippines).

We’ve raised over AUD$150M in funding from Aussie and Silicon Valley investors who were early backers of Uber, Canva and AirBnb. With plans to launch into several more markets, offline channels, and tackle new conditions.

We’re looking to continue building our team of executional weapons who are passionate about healthcare, aren’t afraid to work hard, and invest in others through direct and honest feedback. This approach enables us to make the most impactful changes to improve the health of millions of patients globally.

We're looking for a Mid-weight Copywriter to contribute needle-moving creative work that has a real impact on the lives of Australians.

You'll play a critical role in the continued development of the tone, voice, and marketing strategy of the Juniper brand as it continues on its rapid growth trajectory in Australia and around the world.

You’ll also have the chance to work across the larger portfolio of brands, helping create empathetic, inclusive, well-researched and evidence-led content that informs and inspires Australians to take productive steps towards improving their health.

As the Mid-weight Copywriter, reporting to the Senior Copywriter in the Juniper Growth Team, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Contribute to creative briefs and drive the execution of written and creative content across a number of performance and organic channels including paid social advertising, YouTube, EDMs, landing pages, print campaigns and more.
  • Glean insights and find hooks based on an endless supply of brand insights, and work with the creative team to brief and develop these into insight-driven performance marketing work and larger-scale campaign concepts and strategy.
  • Generate ideas for tactical above-the-line executions and integrated brand campaigns that empower patients to take healthcare into their own hands, then see the ideas through to completion – from concepting and scripting to post-production.
  • Analyse feedback, research insights and data to create empathetic, user-centred content experiences. You’ll use this information to support content decision-making and reflect this thinking in your work.
  • Collaborate with your team to establish working relationships with clinical and legal stakeholders. As part of this, you’ll communicate clearly and regularly to understand stakeholder needs, foster support and get buy-in for content development.
  • Develop lightweight, repeatable processes, workflows and content templates that keep the team nimble and successful in a culture that values moving fast and iterating quickly.
  • Contribute to long form advertorial and earned editorial media with content that is backed by research and positions Juniper as a thought leader for its medical approach to weight management.

About you (Who you are):

  • 4+ years in a similar role, with proven experience working in copywriting and/or content writing either in agency or in-house.
  • Passionate about user experience with tactile examples of where content has influenced key business decisions and outcomes.
  • A good understanding of the conversion funnel. You understand the right platform to deliver messages, and have demonstrated experience working to produce written content across for both potential customers and current customers.
  • Adaptability and an understanding of how to work to a specified tone and voice and with brand-led strategic messaging.
  • You know how to get buy-in from key stakeholders and thrive working collaboratively in a team. You’ve got a track record of bringing people on the journey with you – they know what’s changing and why.
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills.

What do we do, exactly?

Our mission is to build the future of healthcare, and help people live longer, healthier lives.

We have built a bespoke technology platform to deliver healthcare to Australians with a level of care and depth that brings healthcare into the internet age, and we are just getting started.

We work with doctors, specialists, pharmacists, and medical professionals from all over the country, and our brands (Pilot, Kin, Software, Normal, **Juniper** and Compound) speak to different people at different stages of their life and needs.

How do we work?

Things move quickly here.

We like to set goals with the mindset that if we hit them all we haven’t challenged ourselves enough. You’ll be surrounded by a world-class team of thinkers, designers, engineers and leaders who are obsessed with three things:

  1. The health and wellbeing of the average person
  2. Creating personalised, engaging, convenient user-experiences
  3. Making healthcare fun and interesting (because it is)

We are experienced business builders, our roots and talent run deep in the DTC and technology space. We believe too many chefs spoil the broth and people are given the freedom to make decisions (and mistakes), and learn from the journey.

Why you'll thrive here

Here are the highlights:

  • Come and experience the growth at one of the fastest growing startups (LinkedIn #5 fastest growing startups in Australia) while we are still small (~200 people).
  • Push yourself with challenges that are world-first, unique and exhilarating.
  • See the meaningful impact of your work on over tens of thousands of actual users (check out the customers that love us!)
  • Learn from some of Australia’s best marketers, engineers, creatives, operations specialists, and medical professionals - joining a diverse team from Atlassian, Canva, Google, Koala, McKinsey, Bain, BuzzFeed, Optiver, Halter and many, many more.
  • Enjoy flexible location work arrangements, WFH allowances, parental leave, gym benefits, employee discounts, social clubs sponsorships, uncapped learning and development budgets for all of our staff.

Why you should join Euc:

  • Our teams are incredibly passionate - Our talent bar is high and our work ethic is strong. You’ll get to stretch yourself everyday and work amongst people who care deeply about our patients. You’ll be given autonomy to tackle interesting problems and receive regular feedback from a supportive team
  • We move at incredible speed - You’ll work with team mates who build in the open by sharing their work freely, this helps us learn and iterate quickly so we can deliver high quality outcomes faster than our competitors. You’ll spend a lot of time outside of your comfort zone learning and iterating frequently, we wouldn’t have it any other way
  • We will invest in your career - You’ll get access to an annual professional development budget, mentors and buddies to ensure that you have the support you need to level up. You can expect regular performance and pay reviews as your career grows.
  • We are all owners - You’ll be given equity to ensure that you are able to benefit in the upside of your contribution in helping Euc grow. Your ideas will be valued regardless of your role, you will have ownership over the projects you work on which will feel both terrifying but extremely fulfilling
  • We play as hard as we work - From our annual Eucalympics (Olympic themed decathlon), monthly health & fitness allowances, free weekly barista coffees, funded social clubs, quarterly rooftop parties and weekly catered fireside chats, we know how to let our hair down!
  • We’ll have your back when you need us the most - You’ll be able to lean on a range of leave offerings to support you when needed, this includes: personal health and professional development leave, a generous parental leave that offers 20 weeks paid leave for a primary carer, additional miscarriage leave (see more on Kin Fertility’s #WeNeedMoreLeave campaign), as well as our Employee Assistance Programme

At Eucalyptus, we value individuals from all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives, and we embrace the unique qualities each person brings. When you apply, please let us know of any reasonable adjustments you may need during the interview process.
