Fleet Space Technologies is a space-enabled exploration technology company on a mission to dramatically accelerate the discovery of critical minerals needed to decarbonise our global economy.
Finding new mineral deposits is becoming more challenging as we increasingly exhaust the supply of shallow deposits and are forced to explore deeper underground. Traditional exploration methods are poorly suited to address this challenge, so a new approach is needed.
Our approach is to combine space technology, proprietary seismic sensors, cutting edge Ambient Noise Tomography, and machine learning to provide the world's first scalable 3D exploration dataset with near-real-time insights to guide active exploration programs far more efficiently to new deposits. This is Fleet's flagship product, ExoSphere — a space-enabled solution for mineral exploration in real-time, in 3D, and under cover with very low environmental impact. Since launching ExoSphere in March 2022, Fleet has signed contracts with over 30 clients including Rio Tinto, Barrick Gold and Core Lithium and completed over 300 Ambient Noise Tomography surveys, more than any other company in the world.
The Opportunity in Zambia
Zambia sits at the centre of one of the most important copper and critical minerals provinces in the world, and demand for faster, deeper and more predictable exploration outcomes has never been higher.
This is a new position, created to support a growing portfolio of projects and clients across Zambia and the wider Central African copper belt. You will be the person on the ground: starting hands-on, running client projects end to end, and building the relationships, delivery track record and market presence that Fleet's growth in-country will be built on.
As that portfolio grows, so does the role. This position is designed to develop from client-facing project management into a broader general management remit for Fleet's Zambian operations & remaining client-facing, technically engaged and hands-on with projects rather than moving away from them.
The Role
We are seeking someone with a geoscience background, who has great commercial skills in client and project management to lead the delivery of exploration programs and the engagement with mining and exploration clients in Zambia.
You will be the primary point of contact for our customers, responsible for translating their exploration objectives into well-run survey programs, and for making sure the technical results land in a way that is genuinely useful to their geoscience teams. You will work as an extension of the client's team while remaining accountable to Fleet for delivery, commercial discipline and customer confidence.
This is a role for someone with real geological or geophysical credibility who has moved toward customer, project and commercial ownership. You do not need to be the deepest technical expert in the room, but you do need to understand the science well enough to ask intelligent questions, recognise operational constraints, and challenge unrealistic expectations on both sides.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Account Management
As Fleet's footprint in Zambia grows, this role is expected to take on general management responsibility for the country, including:
Throughout this progression, the role remains client-facing and hands-on with projects.

About Fleet Space
Fleet Space Technologies' vision from the beginning was to build technologies to help humanity explore and connect the Earth, Moon, and Mars.
This led us to develop and launch one of Australia's largest constellation of satellites, create our satellite-enabled mineral exploration technology (ExoSphere), and send Australia's first seismic technology (SPIDER) to the Moon in 2026. ExoSphere, our end-to-end mineral exploration solution powered by space and AI, aims to accelerate critical mineral discovery needed for the clean energy technologies foundational to humanity's future.
As part of Fleet's founding vision, we also apply our technology to innovative solutions for defense and space exploration, including an upcoming mission to the Moon. Headquartered in Adelaide, South Australia, Fleet has a growing team in the USA, Canada, and beyond.
We have raised over $200M AUD in venture funding, backed by premier investors including Blackbird, TVG, Grok, and In-Q-Tel including our most recent $150M Series D in December 2024, at a valuation of over $800M.
Company Culture
As a company, we are revolutionising the exploration of new worlds with advanced space technology to build a more prosperous future for humanity.
As a culture, we are ambitious, innovative, and collaborative and we put our customers first in everything that we do.
Our company values guide us to our North Star of ambitious, collaborative success: AD ASTRA (“To the Stars!”)
