Reporting to our US-based Global VP of Sales and Advisory, the Regional Director will lead the EMEA region and play a critical role in executing our global expansion strategy. You will manage a team of brokers and inside sales professionals, ensuring Flippa capitalizes on our incredible opportunity in the region.
You will drive go-to-market initiatives and serve as the designated spokesperson for the brand, carrying a significant load of speaking engagements and event attendance. Your track record should demonstrate your ability to execute quickly, an obsession with sales reporting, and exceptional deal-making and relationship management capabilities. Ideally, you are an ex-founder or someone with a proven record of enormous contributions in a start-up or scale-up environment.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership and Development:
- Manage, develop, and inspire a team of 8 consisting of Business Brokers, SDRs, and BDRs, responsible for both inbound and outbound sales.
- Ensure team success through high-impact coaching, regular result broadcasts, and innovative incentives, setting the bar for excellence.
- Foster a culture of achievement, aligning with monthly, quarterly, and annual KPIs.
- Lead hiring and training efforts, equipping new team members with the skills and knowledge to excel.
- Devote 50% of your time to coaching, leadership, and operational enhancements, reinforcing a growth-centric ethos.
- Spend the remaining 50% of your time building Flippa’s brand in the region through your networks and deep domain knowledge.
Strategic Business Development:
- Work directly with the highest value partners in the region to drive strategic partnerships and substantial net new customer acquisition.
Operational Excellence:
- Maintain and iterate on an advisory playbook detailing 'the art of the deal'.
- Streamline deal qualification and management processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Drive the sales process from discovery to deal closure, ensuring cash collection.
- Report on the pipeline with a high degree of specificity and accuracy.
- Enhance Flippa's presence at major events, securing referrals from major customers and partners.
- Implement and manage an Account-Based Sales strategy to drive discipline around managing Flippa’s highest quality buyers and sellers.
- Present deal-by-deal reviews to the Flippa Leadership team, detailing activities, revenue, challenges, and solutions.
SDR/BDR Management:
- Regularly experiment with new strategies and tactics to unlock growth and stay ahead of the competition.
- Focus on improving the conversion of leads to listings through strategic outbound efforts.
- Actively attract business owners to the Flippa platform, encouraging them to list their businesses for sale.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Manage a network of high-value buyers and sellers.
- Be an individual contributor, undertaking regular client calls and traveling as required.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, partnerships, customer success, and enablement teams to ensure alignment and collective success on a global scale.
What You Bring to the Table
- Ex-founder, M&A banker, or commercial director with clear evidence of your ability to do deals and grow a business.
- Proven track record of success in senior sales/business development with at least 5 years of experience managing sales teams.
- Demonstrated experience in driving significant revenue growth and achieving sales targets.
- Experience in developing and executing successful sales strategies.
- Extensive experience in customer relationship management and key account management.
