The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for a mid-level Medical Regulatory Lawyer to join our rapidly growing Commercial Contracts Practice Group. We’re looking for a technically strong lawyer with a passion for client service, who is excited to help us build our practice further.
In this role you will become a core member of our Enterprise team. You will work directly with large, multinational corporations across the healthcare industry on a broad range of interesting and complex projects, as well as with a number of our SME clients.
You will work alongside a team of energetic and high-performing lawyers across a broad range of medical regulatory compliance and general commercial matters. Our team largely services enterprise level clients (with a mix of small and medium size business), with a focus on providing efficient, cost-effective and quality legal services.

You’ll be involved in building these client relationships, and finding ways that LegalVision can add ongoing value to the client’s business.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaising directly with our clients, building and managing client relationships and taking the lead on project managing your matters;
- Advising on all aspects of medical and health law, including:
- therapeutic goods regulations;
- privacy and the regulation of health information;
- regulation of cosmetics and other consumer products;
- Australian Consumer Law and its application to healthcare providers;
- NDIS and aged care;
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts, including clinical trial agreements, goods and services agreements (for the supply of healthcare services and medical devices / consumables), independent contractor agreements and software agreements.
- Contributing to the growth of team and business through the delivery of articles, external webinars, and internal ‘LV Academy’ training sessions.
- Working closely with your Practice Leaders, helping to train graduates, and being part of a fun, motivated and supportive team.
The Ideal Candidate
- Quality experience: 2-4 years of experience from a reputable legal environment, whether in-house, private practice or both, with demonstrated experience in medical regulatory compliance. Experience assisting with / reviewing applications for Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods registrations and listings will be highly regarded, but is not required.
- Quality drafting skills: Drafts clear, concise and commercially pragmatic advice in relation to complex regulatory areas.
- Attentive: Brilliant attention to detail; nothing ever slips through the cracks.
- Efficient: Prioritises effectively; focuses on what matters; smashes it out.
- Autonomous: Likes help, but doesn’t need too much of it; owns their work and is capable of working independently; loves responsibility and working directly with clients.
- Collaborative: Gets a kick out of working with smart, fun and passionate people and learning from them.
