The Opportunity

We're looking for our next intake of Graduates to join our high-performing Commercial (Consumer, Health & Tech) team in March or April 2026.

You will receive comprehensive formal and on the job training focused on technical legal knowledge, matter management, and client service to give you a strong understanding of the legal needs of Australian businesses, in order to provide pragmatic advice.

We understand that starting your legal career can feel overwhelming - you don't know what you don't know. That's why we've developed comprehensive onboarding and ongoing mentorship programmes specifically designed to build your confidence alongside your technical skills.

What You’ll Be Doing

Under the supervision of our Practice Leaders and Senior Lawyers, a typical day for our graduate lawyers may include:

• Advising clients on video conference calls on a broad range of legal matters (including as part of our industry leading Legal Advice Consultation service).
• Drafting, reviewing and assisting in the negotiation of a range of commercial legal documentation, including customer and supplier agreements, influencer agreements, intellectual property arrangements, website and e-commerce terms and conditions, privacy policies and other types of legal documents.
• Conducting legal research and providing written advice on the Australian Consumer Law, industry specific regulatory issues, privacy questions.
• Contributing to LegalVision's knowledge base and writing articles for our website.
• Participating in firm-wide initiatives such as article writing for our website, attending events organised by our Social Venture Committee, playing lunchtime netball, or enjoying a coffee break at one of Surry Hills' many amazing cafes.

The Ideal Candidate

• Must be able to start in March or April 2026.
• Qualified with strong academics: You are a recent law graduate with strong grades and are either already admitted as a Lawyer, or will be admitted in early 2026.
• Ready for full-time work: You are available to work full time, and are excited to work in our Surry Hills office at least 3 days per week.
• Wants to do things differently and isn’t the average law graduate: You have an entrepreneurial mindset and are keen to grow as a lawyer in an innovative NewLaw environment.
• Passionate about the client experience: You are focused on your clients and you’re dedicated to creating experiences that exceed client expectations.
• Personable, empathetic and resilient: You are friendly, warm and professional. You celebrate the ups and push through and learn from the downs.
• Cool and calm under pressure: You are an organised and efficient worker, and can effectively manage competing priorities.
