About The Role
Based in Adelaide, Sydney or Melbourne, as the Project Manager Team Lead / PMO Lead you will be responsible for leading, aligning and enhancing the project delivery of Lumary implementations for customers across the business. Experience in a consulting or B2B software perspective is a must, preferably having worked on implementations of Finance or Core Business operations platforms (e.g. ERP, WFM or Digital Platform).
The purpose of the PMO function is to develop, mentor and set the standard for project managers and introduce and maintain a consistent approach to managing Lumary implementations from a methodology, collateral, and resourcing perspective. The PMO function is responsible for the accurate and timely capture of project-related data to support financial and resource analysis and forecasting. The PMO Lead will have proven experience leading technology platform transformation programs to uplift business capability, preferably for Finance or Core Business operations platforms (e.g. ERP, Digital Platform or WFM).
The day to day role may look like
- Lead the Project Management function and related processes to deliver successful outcomes for customers, working collaboratively with internal delivery and leadership teams and external customer delivery and leadership teams.
- Build, support and develop a high-performing project management team.
- Manage and oversee the Project Management team to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with the PMO project management methodology and governance processes.
- Ensure project management methodology, tools and templates are in line with the program framework and are used by the project team to support delivery of their projects.
- Work with the project management team to track and manage project risks, issues, key decisions, project interdependencies and manage the program pipeline.
- Provide first escalation leadership for internal implementation teams and customers on project risks, issues, key decisions, projects interdependencies.
- Work with functional managers and project managers on resource allocation.
- Manage project team/s efficiency and effectiveness, while coordinating and fostering teamwork.
- Draft new and improve existing project management office policies, templates and processes.
- Continuously evaluate projects to ensure they are meeting company standards, adhering to budgets, and meeting deadlines. Work with internal and external stakeholders to champion best practice project management processes.
- Support business development activities by reviewing project proposals and requirements and providing collateral to illustrate the PMO Project management methodology.
You Have
- 10+ years experience in technology project management roles, ideally delivering projects from a consulting/software vendor perspective for large, complex organisations.
- Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring project managers on methodology adoption, career development and fostering a positive working environment. Experience leading a geographically dispersed team is a plus.
- Deep knowledge and experience across Agile, Waterfall and Adaptive delivery models and mindsets including knowledge of different program management frameworks/ principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Proven track record of providing quality insights that help drive decisions ensuring teams are operating effectively and delivering consistent results.
- Demonstrated experience negotiating and resolving complex delivery risks and issues with external stakeholders/customers.
- Demonstrated ability to drive measurable productivity uplifts within organisations.
- Experience delivering a wide range of initiatives such as process redesign, productivity tools, and organisational change.
- Knowledge, understanding and experience in financial management, planning, and forecasting.
- Strong communication and relationship skills across a breadth of stakeholders including senior executives.
- Experience working within the Healthcare industry and/or working in a Salesforce environment is a plus.
