We’re looking for an Installation Project Manager to own the delivery of hardware installations across Australia, working with customers, partners and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to a high standard.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys combining project management, technical problem-solving and on-site delivery in a scale-up environment.
This role is based in Sydney or Melbourne, with an expectation of working from the office at least 3 days per week, alongside occasional site visits.
What you’ll be responsible for
End-to-end installation delivery
- Own installation projects from scoping through to customer handover
- You’ll operate with a high level of autonomy, owning multiple installation projects simultaneously
- Coordinate installers, partners and internal teams to deliver projects smoothly
- Manage timelines, risks, budgets and stakeholder communication
Pre-installation & pre-sales support
- Support pre-sales activities by reviewing site plans, advising on installation scope and contributing to delivery timelines
- Review floor plans, drawings and site information to scope installs accurately
- Work with installation partners to prepare quotes, scopes of work and project plans
On-site installation management
- Coordinate hardware delivery, site access and installer schedules
- You’ll regularly engage with installers on-site and support live deployments
- Act as the escalation point during installs to resolve issues quickly
Quality assurance & handover
- Review completed installs to confirm sensor placement, connectivity and data accuracy
- Ensure as-built documentation is completed and accurate
- Create and update practical installation documentation, including cabling layouts and sensor location drawings, to support accurate delivery and site handover
- Support activation of the XY Sense platform alongside onboarding and customer teams
Commercial & partner management
- Track installation costs and work with finance to reconcile quotes, POs and invoices
- Build and maintain a reliable network of installation partners across the region, ensuring quality and consistency
- Contribute to improving installation processes, documentation and standards as we scale
What we’re looking for
Essential
- 5+ years’ experience in installation, project management or technical delivery roles
- Experience working with low-voltage, AV, IT or IoT installations
- Strong stakeholder management skills with customers, installers and internal teams
- Comfortable working across multiple projects in a fast-moving environment
Nice to have
- Experience with smart buildings, workplace technology or IoT platforms
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, networking concepts (TCP/IP, PoE, RF)
- Experience managing subcontractors or installation partners
- PMP or other project management certification
Travel
- Occasional local, domestic and international travel (APAC) is required for customer installations and site support - you’ll be hands-on supporting real-world deployments
