About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive, product-focused Quality Assurance Engineer who’s excited to take on multiple responsibilities and test features that bring joy to users and value to restaurants. You’ll join a team where you can have real influence, wide scope, and room to grow in a fun and rewarding environment. You will own the quality of our products end-to-end by combining hands-on manual testing with robust automation across mobile apps, web platforms and APIs, ensuring every release is reliable, scalable and provides a great user experience.

Responsibilities

  • Execute test plans, test cases and regression suites
  • Perform structured and exploratory manual testing across iOS and Android mobile apps, web platforms and GraphQL and REST APIs
  • Validate new features, bug fixes and platform changes prior to release
  • Identify edge cases, usability issues and failure modes early in the delivery lifecycle
  • Reproduce, document and triage defects with clear, actionable reproduction steps
  • Own and continuously improve regression automation for critical user journeys
  • Build and maintain automated test suites for mobile, web and API platforms
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support fast, safe releases
  • Validate mobile UX flows, device compatibility, OS behaviour, offline scenarios, push notifications, deep links and payment journeys
  • Validate responsive web layouts, browser compatibility, accessibility and performance
  • Validate API contracts, data integrity, error handling and third-party integrations
  • Write automated API tests for GraphQL and REST APIs covering both happy-path and edge-case scenarios

Qualifications

  • Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 3–5 years of commercial experience as a QA Engineer
  • Full working rights in Australia

Required Skills

  • Experience testing payment systems, loyalty programs or financial transactions
  • Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g. k6, JMeter)
  • Knowledge of mobile crash analytics and monitoring tools (e.g. Firebase, Sentry)
  • Exposure to accessibility testing standards (WCAG)
  • Basic scripting or coding skills in JavaScript, TypeScript or Python
  • Experience in startup or scale-up product environments
