About The Role
We are seeking a Junior Accountant to support our Finance function with core accounting, reconciliations, and reporting activities across an international group.
This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, and assisting with statutory and internal reporting. It is a full-time remote position, reporting directly to the Finance Manager, and operates within clearly defined processes and monthly deadlines.
This role suits someone early in their accounting career who is detail-oriented, process-driven, and comfortable working independently in a structured remote environment.

About The Role
We are seeking a Junior Accountant to support our Finance function with core accounting, reconciliations, and reporting activities across an international group.
This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, and assisting with statutory and internal reporting. It is a full-time remote position, reporting directly to the Finance Manager, and operates within clearly defined processes and monthly deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate customer invoices and respond to customer billing and account queries in a timely, professional manner
- Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, trade debtors, and trade creditors
- Monitor overdue balances and support monthly debt collection activities
- Assist with month-end close processes, including journals and balance sheet reconciliations
- Support year-end audit processes and the preparation of financial statements
- Assist with monthly and quarterly management reporting
- Process transactions in line with GST / VAT and PAYE requirements, ensuring filings and reporting deadlines are met
- Support the preparation and maintenance of monthly cash flow forecasts
- Produce ad-hoc finance reports and complete general finance administration tasks as required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Foundational understanding of financial accounting principles
- Experience using cloud-based accounting software (Xero)
- Proficient Excel skills (basic formulas, reconciliations)
- Prior experience supporting accounting, finance operations, or shared services teams
- Experience with UK tax and compliance requirements
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Comfortable following documented processes and meeting recurring deadlines
- Reliable and accountable for assigned responsibilities
- Clear and professional written and spoken communication skills
- Able to work independently in a remote environment while escalating issues appropriately
- To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Strong day-to-day spoken and written English (you will communicate regularly with internal stakeholders)
- Availability to work full-time hours aligned with Australian business hours (9:00am-5:00pm AEST)
- A reliable internet connection
- Your own PC (Windows-based computer required)
- A quiet, dedicated workspace suitable for focused accounting work
- You have relevant junior-level accounting experience and want to build depth in core accounting and compliance
- You are comfortable working full-time in English, both written and spoken
- You prefer structured processes, clear responsibilities, and recurring monthly work
- You are self-motivated and dependable in a remote environment
