We are hiring a London based Sales Manager to lead from the front, coach relentlessly, and build a high performing sales team through discipline, repetition, and on the ground development.

The Opportunity

This is a field first, coaching led leadership role.

You will spend most of your time in the field with your team, walking zones, sitting in meetings, listening to live pitches, handling objections together, and turning real interactions into teachable moments.

You are accountable not just for numbers, but for how the team gets there. Your success is measured by output, deal quality, conversion rates, and how quickly reps improve under your coaching.

This role demands comfort with cold conversations, rejection, physical presence, and the patience and intensity required to coach reps day after day in a fast, competitive hospitality market.

What You Will Own

Field Leadership and Coaching Standards

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 5 to 10 Business Development Managers in London
  • Spend the majority of your time in the field coaching live, not reviewing calls after the fact
  • Set and enforce non negotiable daily activity standards across walk ins, cold calls, follow ups, and meetings
  • Lead by example through your own venue conversations and deal support
  • Create urgency, discipline, and belief through visible leadership

Coaching at Pace

  • Coach reps in real time on pitch structure, problem framing, objection handling, and closing
  • Run side by side coaching, post meeting debriefs, and immediate feedback loops
  • Identify skill gaps early and create targeted coaching plans for each rep
  • Raise the floor and the ceiling of performance through repetition and standards
  • Turn strong reps into elite reps and average reps into reliable performers

Execution and Accountability

  • Enforce fast sales cycles, clean pipelines, and tight follow up discipline
  • Run daily stand ups, weekly one-on-ones, and regular in field pipeline reviews
  • Hold reps accountable to activity, quality, and conversion benchmarks
  • Address underperformance early with clear expectations and coaching plans

London Market Ownership

  • Own new venue sign ups and performance across London neighbourhoods
  • Build deep local knowledge of venue operators, objections, and competitive dynamics
  • Feed constant market insight back to Revenue, Marketing, and Product
  • Hire, onboard, and ramp new reps with a coaching first approach
  • Help define how EatClub wins dense, high competition urban markets

  • Prefer managing through dashboards rather than in person coaching
  • Avoid cold outreach or field based selling
  • Want a predictable 9-5 schedule
  • Are uncomfortable being measured publicly against targets
  • Believe effort should be optional

Experience That Matters

  • 3 to 5 plus years leading high activity sales teams
  • Proven experience coaching reps in person and in the field
  • Track record of improving conversion rates and ramp time through coaching
  • Background in food tech, marketplaces, SaaS, or hospitality is highly valued
  • Strong CRM discipline and performance management skills
