Senior Product Manager
Product
Brisbane, QLD, Australia
The Company
etrainu is an established leader in online learning design, development, delivery and assessment founded in Australia. We deliver custom solutions to SME organisations domestically and internationally, and our customer-first approach is driving rapid growth in our SaaS products. We're leaning hard into AI, both in how we build and what we build, and the product team is at the centre of that shift.
The Role
We're hiring a Senior Product Manager to fully own one of our product teams. This is a true PM role. You'll own your projects end-to-end: discovery, shaping, delivery, and go-live. You'll run real discovery with customers and data, work with your EM, Staff Engineer, and Designer as your peer leadership group, and follow your work into the wild to make sure it lands.
Shipping isn't enough. Winning is our customers using and getting value from what you build, and this role owns that outcome. You'll report to the Head of Product and contribute alongside the wider PM group on decisions that cross teams. The role is based in Brisbane, with 2 days a week in our CBD office.
Responsibilities
- Own your team's projects end-to-end process - discovery, shaping, delivery, and go-live. Sequence the work, prioritise ruthlessly, and communicate trade-offs clearly.
- Build deep customer understanding. Advocate for our customers and their industry using qualitative and quantitative discovery. Lead with empathy, supported by data.
- Drive solution discovery and delivery. Work closely with your Engineers and Designer to look beneath the status quo, using prototypes and experiments to shape great product experiences.
- Ensure value and viability. Make sure your team's solutions deliver real value for customers in a way that's also viable for the business, and that customers actually adopt and get value from what you ship.
- Follow your work into the wild. Partner with Customer Success, Support, and Sales to make sure what you ship gets adopted, used, and drives the outcomes it was meant to. Measure it, learn from it, and iterate.
- Lead as a peer group with your EM, Staff Engineer, and Designer. Set direction together, hold the quality bar together, empower the team to lead their own discovery.
- Balance concurrent streams of work within the team. Sequence, resource, and make the trade-offs when streams compete for attention.
- Support our go-to-market teams. Work closely with Sales, Customer Success and Marketing so your solutions are easy to market, sell, adopt, and support.
- Use AI fluently in your own workflow and drive AI thinking into what your team ships. Champion experimentation as the tooling and product opportunities evolve.
Experience
- 5+ years as a Product Manager in B2B SaaS, with senior-level ownership of a product area or team.
- Customer-facing experience. You've engaged directly with customers to uncover opportunities and distilled findings into clear decisions that changed what got built.
- Builder and executor. You can wear multiple hats: shape the how, create process, dive into data, and roll up your sleeves to move things forward yourself.
- Collaborative leadership. Proven ability to align cross-functional teams, hold your own with engineering, design, and GTM leaders, and clearly communicate priorities and trade-offs.
- Driven meaningful growth. First-hand experience taking a SaaS product to the next level and an understanding of what a scaling company needs from the product to get there.
- Fluent AI practitioner. You use AI in your own product work today and can point to concrete examples of what you've built, shipped, or changed because of it.
- LMS, EdTech, or compliance-focused SaaS background is a strong advantage.
About You
- You've been the PM on a team that shipped things you're proud of, and you can tell the story of how and why.
- You have a point of view. You push for what you think is right and change your mind when the evidence says you should.
- Results-obsessed and biased towards action. Personal responsibility and sense of urgency come naturally.
- Comfortable with ambiguity, and comfortable narrowing it. You don't need a spec handed to you.
- Calm under pressure. When priorities shift or something breaks, you help the team hold shape rather than adding to the noise.
- Growth mindset. Hungry to improve, willing to be wrong, and interested in making the team sharper around you.
- Genuinely curious about AI, both how it changes your own work and where it can improve the product.
