About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to lead the Business Intelligence team at Hometime. This is a high visibility role in the business as the Business Intelligence function supports the important commercial decisions we make at Hometime. We have incredibly rich data, the systems to support their analytics, awaiting an incoming data leader to provide commercial support to data users.

In this role you will work closely with our Product and Engineering team to refine the data architecture, and support commercial teams including our pricing and revenue strategy team, commercial finance, operations teams amongst others.

To success in this role you must be highly analytical with a knack for structured and systematic thinking. Problem solving, thinking outside the box and looking at problems from new angles is a must. Of equal importance is your ability to work effectively with stakeholders and communicate your ideas in a clear and aritculate way. You should enjoy challenging the status quo and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Business Intelligence team and collaborate with teams across the business to deliver continuous improvements.
  • Managing, maintaining and improving the quality of our data sets as well as sourcing and integrating third-party data when necessary.
  • Working alongside our Engineering teams to improve and evolve our data infrastructure and supplement it with tools that would help teams obtain the insights they need.
  • Working alongside business, operations and leadership teams to develop custom analysis and insights that would supplement strategic decisions
  • Supporting our pricing and revenue management functions
  • Supporting initiatives for data sourcing, storage, integrity and normalisation
  • Build reports and visual analysis to effectively support business decision making and communicate findings.

  • Data analysis: You are able to use a number of quantitative and qualitative methods to analyse data in order to gain a complete picture of effective pricing strategies
  • Analytical thinking: You are highly analytical with a knack for structured, systematic thinking and statistics
  • Technical expertise: You bring a passion for technology and advanced data solutions.
  • Communication: You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling you to report and present on complex information to any audience
  • People leadership: You will lead the Business Intelligence team and drive a culture of data literacy within the business

Must haves:

  • Data-centric approach to solving problems
  • Experience using BI tools
  • Experience using SQL
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Time management, prioritisation and business judgement skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English
