Are you eager to make a mark in the short-term rental industry? Hometime is on the lookout for a dynamic Senior Market Manager to join our team and support our ever-growing network of Local Hosts. Local Hosts are our community partners who deliver highly localised services while professionalising the industry and providing an elevated experience for Homeowners and Guests.

As a Senior Market Manager at Hometime, you'll be the linchpin between our Local Hosts and the value we offer, helping them thrive in the Hometime ecosystem. If you enjoy playing a multi-faceted role of a strategist, business mentor and account manager, you'll thrive in this crucial role in growing our network across Australia.

Here's what you'll do:

  • Own the strategies in the markets to grow our portfolio of Local Hosts and Homeowners in a sustainable way, whilst ensuring they deliver 5 star experiences to our Guests.
  • Acquire comprehensive knowledge of local market trends to inform Local Hosts and internal stakeholders.
  • Analyse data and utilise data-driven recommendations to identify strategic opportunities in your markets to drive portfolio growth.
  • Build and manage long-lasting relationships with our network of Local Hosts to ensure the ongoing success of both Hometime and their businesses.
  • Develop scalable ways to deliver Hometime’s value proposition to Local Hosts through business reviews, training resources and best practice sharing from other local hosts in the Hometime community.
  • Identify, recruit and guide new Local Hosts through the onboarding process, and elevate them through our Local Host lifecycle journey.
  • Be the subject matter expert of Hometime technology stack, revenue management strategies, marketing tactics and operational support.
  • Lead and coach Market Coordinators to ensure local hosts’ requests and inquiries are well-supported.
  • Address and resolve challenges to allow Local Hosts to grow profitably and efficiently.
  • Be a champion for our Local Hosts across Hometime’s functional teams to ensure we deliver our promise to help them grow efficiently and profitably.
  • Regularly conduct catch-up calls, face-to-face meetings, and business reviews with Local Hosts to gain a thorough understanding of their operations, challenges, needs, and how to assist them in meeting Hometime’s standards.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • 5+ years in market/account management, including sales, account management, and client success.
  • Highly organised and composed in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong communication and management skills.
  • Robust analytical skills with a knack for problem-solving.
  • Experience in the short-term rental or hospitality industry.
  • Have had some experience in leading people, directly or indirectly.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and balance short-term needs with long-term goals.
  • A love for Airbnb, travel, and the sharing economy; being an Airbnb host is a bonus.
  • Resourceful and self-sufficient with a proactive attitude.

Some of our perks:

  • WeWork Access: Enjoy coworking spaces across Australia with on-site baristas and collaborative spaces.
  • Coffee Allowance: $75 per month on your Airwallex card for your local café.
  • Birthday Leave: Celebrate your special day with an extra day off.
  • Parental Leave: Supportive paid parental leave policy, including leave for secondary carers, adoption leave, and special maternity leave.
  • Holiday Week: Enjoy free time off between Christmas and New Year.
  • Quarterly Events: Connect with teammates through both virtual and in-person events.

About Hometime:

Hometime is a professional management company for holiday homes and short-term rentals. We make managing short-term rental properties easier by eliminating the need for homeowners to self-manage their holiday homes.

We’re on a mission to make short-term rentals better for everyone. We‘re making it better for guests who want to know they’re choosing a five-star experience managed by someone who lives, works and supports tourism in the community; better for homeowners who need a trusted partner to manage the end-to-end process when someone stays in their home; and better for the community who have peace of mind that short stays are managed locally and professionally.

Our model centres on a network of local hosts operating in key tourism areas across Australia. We partner with these community operators to deliver highly localised services while professionalising the industry and providing an elevated experience for homeowners and guests.
