The Role
As the Commercial Finance Manager you will report to the Director of Finance and assist in leading and driving commercial outcomes within a finance function for the business, globally.

This role requires a combination of savvy analytics, strategic thinking, strong execution and the interpersonal ability to work with teams from across the business. We are looking for a highly adaptable candidate who is able to switch between long-term strategic initiatives one moment and pivot into rapid, tactical actions the next.

Responsibilities

Management Reporting and Analysis

• Prepare, Review and Analyse financial reports (profit & loss, balance sheet and cash flow) and key operating metrics for management and board directors
• Support key strategic decisions with analysis of operating metrics, for example customer retention rate, cost of customer acquisition, and profitability per vehicle
• Work with the core finance team to develop and refine systems and processes to collect and manage business data. (eg repairs & maintenance costs per bike, fleet utilization rate, labour segmentation, etc )
• Work with and manage external vendors for, tax reporting, local compliance
• Refine and evolve the use of internal tools (billing, reporting, asset management systems)
• Assist in managing financial audit and compliance calendar.

Financial Planning

• Prepare budgets, monitor financial performance and analyse drivers of variances relative to budget.
• Prepare detailed weekly, monthly and annual cash flow forecast
• Monitor compliance with debt covenants

Capital Expenditure Planning

• Refine current systems to enable accurate planning of major capex spend. Including preparing forecasts of customer rental demand, future cash flows, and projected supply levels.

Commercial

• Manage insurances
• Manage property leases and review major contracts
• Manage investor and lender reporting.

• 10+ years of working experience including experience in a Finance Manager / Commercial Accountant role.
• Highly skilled in Excel
• Data-driven in your decision-making with sound business judgement
• Ability to take initiative in a constantly changing work environment
• Experience in creating and optimizing processes
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Self-starter who radiates positivity and possesses a “can-do” attitude
